Amanda is a writer, filmmaker, creative coach and Reiki practitioner, and the former editor-in-chief of Denver, Colorado’s Suspect Press. She’s the author of The Risk it Takes to Bloom: Queer Erotica Stories, and she’s the creator of the award-winning Pandemic in Pollyville webseries. She’s founded several Denver community groups, including the Creative Curiosity Circle, as well as a weekly creative writing class, and a cannabis-inspired writing class called Lit on Lit that’s been the first and only of its kind. Iowa born & raised, she’s also lived in Vermont, Colorado, Oregon, and Alaska.
Amanda’s work has been featured multiple times on the Low Orbit podcast, on stage at Mortified Live, and at Denver’s Emerging Filmmakers Project. She’s spoken at Lighthouse Writers Workshop as a queer creative, and she’s been published in Jersey Devil Press, Lamplit Underground, Monologging, Adelaide Literary Magazine, Green Briar Review, DenVerse, South Broadway Ghost Society, Suspect Press, and others.
